All my problems in life comes from love’ - Beverly Osu

Nollywood actress Beverly Osu has revisited the sex scandal involving her and her fellow Big Brother Africa housemate, South African dance teacher Angelo Collins, in 2013.

In a recent conversation with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Osu still maintained that she didn’t have sex with the South African dancer on the reality show as purported by viewers.

Admitting that the scandal significantly affected her career in the early stages, the actress stated that all the challenges she has faced in life were due to love.

She stated that she was madly in love with Angelo and was too comfortable around him, sparking rumours that they were having sex on the show.

She said, “I have people that love me for who I am. And the highlight of it is that, I didn’t do it [have sex on reality show]. I was 20… I brought out so many things from Big Brother other than that [my relationship with Angelo]. I was so irritated because that was the only thing viewers picked because I was in love. Literally, it was love. All my problems in life come from love.

“Every problem that I have had in this life is because of the greatest gift of God; love. I was madly in love with Angelo. That was why I was free around him. I was dating na, make we tie gele? I was in love with him.”

Beverly Osu had previously blamed Nigerians for breaking up her relationship with Angelo Collins.

“Today, one paper will say Beverly is with this man, tomorrow, another paper will say another thing, I don’t know,” she said.

Ten million compensation for business man shot by DSS

The Department of State Services (DSS) has finally compensated a businessman who was mistakenly shot in 2016 during a raid. Initially ordered to pay ₦10 million by the court in 2018, the DSS delayed payment for six years but recently settled the amount, doubling it to ₦20 million as a goodwill gesture. The incident caused severe financial and personal hardship for the victim, who lost his business and home.   The operatives were in search of a suspected gunrunner who shared the same last name with the man but ended up shooting him on the thigh only to discover he was not the suspect they were after. The operatives later that day arrested the actual suspect and transferred him to Abuja. As if that was not enough, the man was left untreated due to doctors’ strike and was eventually moved to a military hospital. Life took a ...

In the Holy Scriptures, for example, we are strongly encouraged to acquire wisdom. For example, in Proverbs Chapter 3, Verse 21 [b], we read: “Safeg...
